When Google unveiled the initial Chromebook lineup, no one, ourselves included, knew what to make of even the best Chromebooks. However, just a few years later, and not only are there more than 25 million Chrome OS users, but the top Chromebooks continue to wow us with all-day battery life – something that Windows 10 laptops still can’t quite achieve.

The best Chromebooks don’t just feature great battery life, they’re also inexpensive. They won’t feature the latest processor tech – with the exception of the Google Pixel Slate – but, the top Chromebooks get faster every day. Just take a look at the Acer Chromebook Spin 15 and the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2, two very promising upcoming Chromebooks, as proof.

However, if you’ve never used one of the best Chromebooks, you might feel wary of being restrained by what your web browser can do. So, you might want to look elsewhere if you’re looking to play games or do some media editing. However, if your computer use boils down to word processors, email clients, and video streaming services, the best Chromebooks are really all you need.
